


The BSPP 2024-2028 is a medium-term strategic framework designed to strengthen the social protection system in BARMM by promoting social justice, equity, and sustainable development in the region through the recognition of collective efforts of the private sector and various government agencies.
Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Secretary Rex Gatchalian lauded the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) for the ceremonial launch of the Bangsamoro Social Protection Plan (BSPP) 2024-2028 which marks a significant milestone for the region’s ongoing pursuit of inclusive and equitable development.
The DSWD chief, who was represented in the event by Undersecretary Alan A. Tanjusay of the Peace and Development Group (PDG), expressed deep appreciation for the commitment demonstrated by the Bangsamoro government in addressing the diverse needs of the region’s communities.
“I extend my congratulations to the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region, especially to the Ministry of Social Services and Development. This BSPP symbolizes your commitment to the Bangsamoro people to work towards fostering growth and social equity in the region,” Secretary Gatchalian said via a video message played during the launch on Friday (February 21) at the Shariff Kabunsuan Cultural Complex, Bangsamoro Government Center in Cotabato City.
Secretary Gatchalian said the implementation of this plan will bring about positive change, empowering the most vulnerable and marginalized sectors in the region.
