Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Secretary Rex Gatchalian conveys his gratitude and appreciation to the agency personnel who volunteered to be part of the Philippine Rapid Response Deployment Team (PRRDT) that responded to the victim-survivors of the March 28 magnitude 7.7 earthquake in Myanmar.

Secretary Gatchalian also gave them due recognition during a simple awarding ceremony at the Katapatan Boardroom of the DSWD Central Office in Batasan, Quezon City on Monday (May 5).

The DSWD psychological first aid team was composed of eight trained personnel—social workers and a psychologist—from the agency’s Central and Field Offices. They were Social Welfare Officers Imee Rose Castillo, Rizaline Sta. Ines, Nolibelyn Macabagdal, Joseph Salavarria, Clenson Tibangay, Hidie Mendoza, and Christina Tatoy, and a psychologist, Karen Arvie Gabriel.

Joining Secretary Gatchalian during the simple awarding rites for the PFA team were members of the DSWD executive and management committees. (YADP)
