The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Field Office 5’s Mobile Command Center (MCC) was deployed in Naga City, Camarines Sur on Monday (September 2) to assist in the monitoring and provide communication lines as part of disaster response in the province amid the onslaught of Tropical Storm “Enteng.”
With the MCC on-site, the Field Office 5 anticipates more reliable communication, and faster report submissions between disaster operation groups and offices, which will help in coordinating a swift and effective response to the needs of typhoon-affected communities.
The DSWD’s Bicol regional office remains in close coordination with local government units (LGUs) to continuously monitor the situation of the residents and provide additional assistance as required.#
