July 26, 2025

Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Secretary Rex Gatchalian and Department of Transportation (DOTr) Secretary Vince Dizon kick off their Saturday (July 26) schedule by checking on disaster-hit Kapampangans temporarily staying at the Bacolor Integrated School in Pampanga.

Secretary Gatchalian joined DSWD personnel in handing out family food packs (FFPs) and other essential items to the displaced families to ensure that their daily needs are addressed.

The DSWD chief relayed President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.’s assurance that the government is ready to give needed aid to support their recovery.

Pampanga is one of the provinces hardest-hit by the southwest monsoon and Tropical Cyclones Crising, Dante, and Emong.

Pampanga Governor Lilia “Nanay” Pineda, Vice Governor Dennis “Delta” Pineda, and Bacolor Municipal Mayor Eduardo “Diman” Datu accompanied the DSWD and DOTr team during their visit.

DSWD officials present at the site visit were Undersecretary Diana Rose Cajipe and Asst. Secretary Irene Dumlao of the Disaster Response Management Group (DRMG) and DSWD Central Luzon Regional Director Venus Rebuldela. (LSJ)
