



Discussions on the Thursday (May 29) Media Forum centered on the Department of Social Welfare and Development’s (DSWD) thrusts to ensure that Filipinos are capacitated as they face both changes and challenges brought about by the digital era and pressing issues of climate change and natural calamities.
Undersecretary Vilma Cabrera of the Conditional Cash Transfer Group (CCTG) briefed reporters on the “e-Panalo para sa Kinabukasan” which champions the DSWD’s goal to instill the values of financial empowerment among members of the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) amid the fast-evolving digital economic landscape.
For her part, Director Maria Isabel Lanada of the Disaster Response Management Bureau (DRMB) presented the ‘Buong Bansa Handa’ project, a landmark initiative launched under the administration of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. The project plays a key role in ensuring that the government’s disaster response is immediately felt by disaster-hit families in times of calamities.
