Assistant Secretary Ada Colico of the Protectives Services on Thursday (July 24) expressed solidarity with other government agencies in bringing programs and services to overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) in Qatar during a courtesy visit to Philippine Ambassador to Qatar Mardomel Celo D. Melicor, ahead of the Bagong Bayani Serbisyo Caravan in Doha.
Joining Asst. Secretary Colico, who will lead a team of social workers to the OFW caravan at the Philippine School of Doha on Friday (July 25), is Head Executive Assistant (HEA) Atty. Hurjae Lubag.
Hosted by the Department of Migrant Workers (DMW), the
caravan is a continuing initiative of the government to ensure that the OFWs’ needs and concerns are effectively addressed, in line with the directive of President Ferdinand R. Marcos, Jr.
Other government agencies bringing their programs and
services to Doha are the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA), Social Security System (SSS), PhilHealth, Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA), Pag-Ibig, LandBank of the Philippines, Professional Regulations Commission (PRC), and the Public Attorney’s Office (PAO).
