
In response to Tropical Storm Enteng, the Department of Social Welfare and Development’s (DSWD) Field Office 5 – Bicol Region successfully distributed hot meals to 504 evacuees at the TESDA Building in Barangay Caratagan, Pio Duran town, Albay province, on Monday (September 2).
The provision of hot meals, cooked from the food items of the family food packs, is part of the agency’s continued efforts in assisting individuals affected by Enteng. FO-5 Regional Director Norman Laurio emphasized the crucial need for timely and adequate aid to ensure the safety and well-being of typhoon-affected passengers.
The DSWD’s Bicol regional office remains in close coordination with local government units (LGUs) to continuously assess the needs of residents and provide additional assistance as required.#
