DSWD FO-5 extends more aid to severely-affected families in Bicol region

Personnel of the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Field Office (FO) 5 – Bicol Region conducts home visits on Wednesday (September 4) to deliver additional assistance to the families of four deceased victims and an injured survivor who have been severely affected by the effects of Typhoon Enteng in the region.

The FO-5, through the Assistance to Individuals in Crisis Situation (AICS) provided them with food, and psychosocial intervention, as well as funeral assistance to the bereaved families of the reported casualties.

As a part of DSWD’s extended disaster response and intervention, the agency is also coordinating with the Local Government Unit (LGU) of Mercedes, Camarines Norte to provide aid to the 13 rescued fishermen and support to the families of four others who remain missing.
