The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), represented by Asst. Secretary Marie Paz Rafael of the Partnership Building and Resource Mobilization Office (PBRMO), signed a Memorandum of Agreement with representatives of GCash on Friday (June 6) to enhance the processing of digital payments for the Kaagapay Donations Portal.

The agreement intends to enhance the experience and safety of donors in processing their digital cash donations for charitable causes and emergency response operations.

Launched under the leadership of DSWD Secretary Rex Gatchalian, the Kaagapay Donations Portal is in line with President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.’s socioeconomic agenda focused on digitalizing key government processes and transactions.

GCash representatives who were present in the MOA signing were Public Sector Cluster Head Cleo Celeste Santos; Head of GCash for Business Edgardo Layug Jr; and, Public Sector-National Government Accounts Manager Alda Lou Cabrera. (AKDL)
