In a bid to intensify its campaign for ‘Tamang Tulong sa Tamang Impormasyon’ (3Ti), the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) through its Strategic Communications group launched on March 29 (Saturday) its new radio program, ‘Serbisyong DSWD for Every Juan,’ in partnership with DYPM Radyo 630.

The new program is anchored by veteran anchor Alvin Elchico together with Information Officer Bianca Piedad-Tamondong of the DSWD’s Traditional Media Service (TMS).

DSWD Secretary Rex Gatchalian went on air to express his greetings to the DSWD and Radyo 630 for the partnership radio program.

“Congratulations on your new show at alam kung maraming matutulungan ito para ma inform ang publiko,” Secretary Gatchalian told the radio anchors over a phone patch conversation.

Secretary Gatchalian also took the opportunity to provide updates on the DSWD’s initiatives particularly on the services extended to the repatriated Filipinos from Myanmar and the agency’s newly-launched initiative dubbed as the Harmonized Electronic License and Permit System (HELPS).

The discussion on HELPS was then elaborated by the pilot episode’s first guest, Director Megan Therese Manahan of the DSWD’s Standards Bureau (SB), the agency’s regulatory office.

Aside from the interview segment, the new DSWD radio program has a news round up on the different agency activities.

The program also spotlights on the Strategic Communications award-winning online documentary, #Kwento ng Pag-Asa at Pagbabago (#KPAP) which featured the agency’s Kapit-Bisig Laban Sa Kahirapan-Comprehensive and Integrated Delivery of Social Services (KALAHI-CIDSS) for the maiden episode.

The ‘Serbisyong DSWD for Every Juan’ airs every Saturday from 11 am to 12 noon.
