
Headways to foster disaster-resilient communities amid stronger onset of weather disturbances take the spotlight in the Department of Social Welfare and Development’s (DSWD) activity marking the 37th National Disaster Resiliency Month (NDRM) on Thursday (July 24) at the DSWD Central Office in Quezon City.
Secretary Rex Gatchalian led the walkthrough on the Department’s featured innovations in disaster response and management such as its mobile command centers and mobile kitchen units.
Joining the DSWD chief in the event were Director Maria Isabel Lanada and Asst. Director Michael Cristopher Mathay of the Disaster Response Management Bureau (DRMB). (LSJ)
