The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) continues to conduct cash-for-work (CFW) payout for the beneficiaries of Tara, Basa! Tutoring program, the agency’s reformatted educational assistance.

Personnel of the agency were in Valenzuela on Monday (September 23) to distribute cash aid to 500 college students from the Valenzuela City Polytechnic College and the Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Valenzuela, who served as tutors and youth development workers (YDWs).

The DSWD-trained tutors and YDWs conducted reading sessions for struggling or non-reader elementary students and Nanay-Tatay teacher sessions for parents and guardians of the student-beneficiaries, respectively. #
