Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Secretary Rex Gatchalian meets with executives of the National Authority for Child Care (NACC) and representatives of social welfare and development agencies (SWDAs) on Wednesday (March 26) to discuss the new guidelines in implementing the adoption and alternative child care programs in public and private residential-based social welfare agencies catering to children.

Joining the DSWD chief in the meeting were Undersecretary Denise Florence Bernos-Bragas of the Regulatory Services and Institutional Development Group; Undersecretary Emmeline Aglipay Villar and Asst. Secretary Elaine Fallarcuna of the International Affairs, and Attached and Supervised Agencies; and Director Megan Therese Manahan of the Standards Bureau (SB).

NACC officials present at the meeting were Executive Director Undersecretary Janella Ejercito Estrada, Asst. Secretary Rowena Macalintal, and Director Imelda Ronda. (AKDL)
