The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) showcases the functionality of the electric vehicles (EV) that were handed over in a symbolic ceremony to persons with disability- beneficiaries of the agency’s Sustainable Livelihood Program (SLP) on Friday (February 21) at the DSWD Central Office.

The EV is PWD-friendly with accessibility features to help those with mobility issues, such as a ramp for wheelchairs.

Joining the turnover ceremony were DSWD Undersecretaries Emmeline Aglipay Villar, Monina Josefina Romualdez and Fatima Aliah Dimaporo; Asst. Secretaries Florentino Loyola Jr. and Elaine Fallarcuna; Director Miramel Garcia-Laxa of the SLP National Program Management Office; Asst. Regional Director Bienvenido Barbosa of the DSWD-National Capital Region; and Deputy Executive Director Dandy C. Victa of the National Council on Disability Affairs (NCDA).

Also present was Global Electric Transport (GET) Philippines Incorporated President Freddie R. Tinga. GET is the chosen partner of the SLPAs as the service provider for the EVs.
