In line with the continuing efforts to promote freedom of choice and fairness in the May 12 midterm elections, the Department of Social Welfare and Development’s (DSWD) Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) launched the agency’s official music video of its ongoing voter’s education campaign last Friday (April 4).

Dubbed as “Botanteng 4Ps Para sa Bayan,” the voter’s education campaign aims to increase the knowledge of 4Ps grantees on the electoral process and encourage them to actively participate in protecting the integrity of the elections.

According to Director Gemma Gabuya, 4Ps National Program Manager, the campaign is anchored on the “Active Citizenship” module which is taught to beneficiaries in their monthly family development sessions (FDS).

“The DSWD 4Ps is committed to safeguarding the program and its beneficiaries from any form of political exploitation, especially during the elections. We created this campaign to encourage our grantees to become wise voters and to actively report election-related issues,” Director Gabuya said.

The music video was released on the 4Ps official Facebook carrying the program’s “3M core message” which means, ‘Magbantay, Makialam, at Makilahok.’

“Magbantay focuses on capacitating 4Ps beneficiaries on election-related laws, policies, and processes so that they will become vigilant from political exploitation. Makialam means encouraging grantees to actively participate in the electoral processes by combating fake news and sharing accurate information to their families, friends, and community members. Makilahok enjoins beneficiaries to report abuses in relation to the electoral process, including the use of the 4Ps program and its beneficiaries to gain political advantage,” Director Gabuya explained.

Naglunsad ang Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) ng music video para sa voter’s education campaign na naglalayong i-promote ang malaya at patas na pagboto para sa May 12 midterm elections.

Tinawag na “Botanteng 4Ps Para sa Bayan,” ang voter’s education campaign. Layon nito na itaas ang kaalaman ng mga 4Ps grantees sa proseso ng pagboto at hikayatin ang mga ito na aktibong sumali upang protektahan ang integridad ng halalan.
