



Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Secretary Rex Gatchalian on Wednesday (May 14) met with officials of the World Bank to discuss possible areas of collaboration for the provision of support package to graduating household beneficiaries of the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps).
The exit support package will feature appropriate needs-based interventions on education and employment, guided by strong case management, which will help prevent exiting 4Ps members from sliding back to poverty.
The DSWD officials who joined Secretary Gatchalian in the meeting were Undersecretary Adonis Sulit of the Policy and Planning Group (PPG); Undersecretary Vilma Cabrera and Asst. Secretary Marites Maristela of the Conditional Cash Transfer Group (CCTG); Asst. Secretary for Policy Juan Carlo Marquez; Asst. Secretary Johannes Paulus Acuňa of the Information and Communications Technology Management Service (ICTMS); Director Gemma Gabuya of the 4Ps National Program Management Office (4Ps NPMO); and Asst. Director Hannah Giray-Carcido of the Policy Development and Planning Bureau (PDPB).
The World Bank officials who were in the meeting were Operations Manager Dandan Chen; Practice Manager Camilla Holmemo; Lead Economist Manuel Salazar; Senior Social Protection Specialist Ruth Rodriguez; Social Protection Specialist Monica Melchor; and, Senior Operations Officer Lilanie Olarte Magdamo.
