DSWD’s Bicol Field Office brings help to Naga City

October 24, 2024

Upon the instruction of Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Secretary Rex Gatchalian, DSWD Field Office 5-Bicol Regional Director Norman Laurio oversees on Thursday (October 24) the relief distribution for ‘Kristine’-affected residents of Naga City.

Naga City suffered the brunt of Severe Tropical Storm Kristine with local officials reporting that thousands of locals are in urgent need for food, clean water, and medicines.

Director Laurio made sure that the FO-5 provided enough food and non-food supplies to ensure that the locals will not go hungry amid the storm.

The DSWD’s Bicol Field Office also continues to coordinate with the local government of Naga City to determine other interventions that the residents may need to help them recover from the effects of the weather disturbance. #
