The lawmaker lauded the DSWD social workers for their commitment and hard work, saying, “Gusto kong magbigay ng pugay sa lahat ng social workers dito sa DSWD, lalong-lalo na sa ating Pag-abot Program. I find it very commendable because ever since the inception of the Pag-abot Program, nagtatrabaho po ang mga social workers mula umaga hanggang hating gabi o madaling araw.”

The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), through its Pag-abot Program, conducts its day-to-day reach-out operations in Metro Manila—even on a holiday—as part of its ongoing efforts to extend social protection to families and individuals in street situations (FISS).
