DSWD Personnel from Field Office III extends assistance and support to the bereaved families of the five massacre victims in Dona Remedios Trinidad in Bulacan on July 29.

The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) has extended assistance to the bereaved families of the five victims of the massacre incident in a 17-hectare grassland in the town of Dona Remedios Trinidad (DRT) in Bulacan on July 25.

Three of the victims’ families are members of the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program.

The staff of DSWD Field Office III personally handed over to the affected families the food and burial assistance worth Php 15,000 per family on July 29.

Aside from DSWD, the local government unit distributed Php2,000 financial assistance, Php5,000 personal aid from the Municipal Mayor, and one sack of rice per family.

The DSWD was saddened by this tragic news and will continue to coordinate with the concerned locality to ensure that the affected will be assisted amid their most trying time.  ###
