Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Secretary Rex Gatchalian, together with Pasay City Mayor Imelda Calixto-Rubiano,  inspects on Tuesday (July 9) the Pag- Abot Program’s new processing center located in the city.
The processing center along Williams Street in Pasay City was previously used by a Philippine Overseas Gaming Operation (POGO).
The DSWD chief pointed out that the government was able to put into good use the former POGO operations hub which will now function as a transient house for families and individuals in street situation (FISS) who are being reached out through the Pag-Abot Program.
Joining the site visit were DSWD Undersecretary  for Innovations Edu Punay, Special Assistant to the Secretary (SAS) Marcelo Nicomedes Castillo, Social Technology Bureau (STB) Asst. Director Marilyn Moral, and Social Welfare Officer Froilan Maglaya.
The DSWD’s Pag-Abot Program aims to reach out to people living and
