Staff of the Crisis Intervention Division of the Department of Social Welfare and Development Central Office attend to clients for the Step 1 processing of the Assistance to Individuals in Crisis Situation program at the temporary site at the QC-X Building, Quezon Memorial Circle, Quezon City on Monday, March 13, 2023.

On March 13, the Central Office of the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) began catering to clients processing the Step 1 of the Assistance to Individuals in Crisis Situation (AICS) program at the QC-X Building of the Quezon Memorial Circle in Quezon City.

The Department temporarily transferred the Step 1 processing to QC-X which is located near the Philcoa entrance gate, in order to provide a conducive and safe venue for the increasing number of clients requesting for assistance at the Central Office.  The Step 1 includes screening of documents and giving out of schedules for the Step 2 processing onwards.

Operating period at the QC-X building is from 5:00am to 3:00pm, Mondays to Fridays.

On the first day of the temporary transfer to QC-X, some 553 clients had been processed for Step 1 of the AICS by the DSWD-CID staff.

The setting up of the temporary Step 1 processing site is to give way to the improvement being done at the current CID facility to make it more conducive for clients.

The Step 1 processing site of the AICS program at the QC-X was made possible in collaboration with the Quezon City Local Government Unit. This is in line with DSWD Secretary Rex Gatchalian’s directives of finding ways to better the DSWD’s systems and processes to ensure that it continues to provide timely and quality service to those in need. ###
