As part of its celebration for the 30th National Family Week (NFW), the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) conducted “Masayang Pamilya Para sa Batang Pilipino Program (MaPa) Session” for the DSWD employees and parents on September 28 at the DSWD Child Development Center.

With a goal to upskill and enhance the knowledge of its employees on good parenting, the DSWD, together with Ms. Jennel Reyes, Ms. Marika Melgar, and Ms. Joanne dela Calzada of the Parenting for Lifelong Health Philippines, facilitated the session which focused on ways of managing child stress and emotion, challenging child behavior, and establishing rules and regulations routine for the children.

The MaPa session aimed to enhance the parenting skills of the DSWD employees and parents as well as to practice effective and non-violent strategies to manage the negative behavior of children. ###
