Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Asst. Secretary for International Affairs, and Attached and Supervised Agencies (ASAs) Atty. Elaine Fallarcuna presides the 1st Quarter Board Meeting of the National Council on Disability Affairs (NCDA) on Wednesday (March 20) in Quezon City.

The discussion focused on the continuous development of the NCDA Strategic Plan for 2024 – 2028 including updates on the ongoing programs and services of various government agencies for persons with disabilities.

The meeting also highlighted the approval of the council for the creation of the NCDA Sub-Committee on National Sports, Programs and Activities and the presentation of the salient features on the recently amended Implementing Rules and Regulations (IRR) of Batas Pambansa Bilang 344.

NCDA is one of the attached agencies of DSWD with mandate to formulate policies and coordinate the activities of all agencies, whether public or private, concerning disability issues and concerns.  The NCDA is headed by Executive Director Glenda Relova with the DSWD Secretary as council chairperson. #
