Some 2,748 beneficiaries from Occidental Mindoro received cash aid from the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) in exchange for their work rendered under the agency’s cash-for-work (CFW) program.

DSWD MIMAROPA Officer-In-Charge Asst. Regional Director for Operations (ARDO) Shiela Tapia led the team during the CFW payout in the province from April 11 to 13.

The CFW beneficiaries consisted of individuals who were affected by Super Typhoon ‘Egay’ from the municipalities of Looc and Lubang.  CFW is the agency’s program that provides temporary employment to disaster-affected families.

Present during the CFW payout were Occidental Mindoro Lone District Congressman Leody “Odie” Tarriela, Looc Mayor Marlon de la Torre, and Lubang Mayor Michael Orayani. #
