The Department of Social Welfare and Development’s (DSWD) Information Communication Technology Management Service (ICTMS) started on Monday (April 15) the 5-day training for its Business Intelligence Software Project at the Harolds Evotel in Quezon City

Asst. Secretary Julius Gorospe, the DSWD’s chief information officer (CIO), said the training aims to familiarize the Central Office’s Information Technology Officers (ITO) with the software that will equip agency personnel for better knowledge of using Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology.

“This new development will establish processes for monitoring performance and maintaining the software which is fit to department needs…This will also ensure the seamless integration with existing systems and databases,” Asst. Secretary Gorospe said in his keynote message.

The ICTMS training will have resource speakers that include Michael Anthony C. Labrador, DSWD project manager and Information Technology Officer II; William Chong, Regional Sales Director of Quandantics of Malaysia and Mr. Charles Ty, account executive of Tableau.

DSWD officials who are attending the 5-day training include Atty. Justin Caesar Anthony D. Batocabe, Director of the Social Welfare Institutional Development Bureau (SWIDB) and Director Monica Shayne Ann G. Purugganan, deputy program manager (DPM) for support under the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) National Program Management Office (NPMO).
