The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), through the Kapit-Bisig Laban sa Kahirapan-Comprehensive and Integrated Delivery of Social Services (KALAHI-CIDSS), conducted the 2024 National Summit with the theme, “TINDIG: Standing up for KALAHI-CIDSS and championing our communities” to over 1,000 members of the Regional Program Management Offices (RPMOs) and Area Coordinating Teams (ACTs) in Mandaue City, Cebu on Friday (April 26).

The event aims to equip the participants with the knowledge and tools to enable community-driven development (CDD) projects to move forward and showcase the best practices and accomplishments of the program.

An awarding ceremony was also held to recognize the ‘unsung heroes’ of KALAHI-CIDSS who are dedicated to their work and have rendered exemplary service to the program.

Present during the event were Senator Imee R. Marcos and DSWD officials led by Undersecretaries Alan Tanjusay and Monina Josefina Romualdez; Assistant Secretaries Florentino Loyola Jr., Arnel Garcia, Juan Carlo Marquez, Ulysses Aguilar, and Paul Ledesma; KALAHI-CIDSS National Program Manager Atty. Bernadette Mapue-Joaquin; and regional directors of DSWD Field Offices.
