The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) joined the Western Visayas leg of the Integrated Sustainable Assistance Recovery and Advancement Program (ISARAP) convergence caravan.

The ISARAP is a convergence activity of government agencies to deliver assistance, programs and services to the Filipino people.

On April 29, DSWD Assistant Secretary Rodolfo Encabo joined the DSWD Field Office VI to distribute financial aid, under the Assistance to Individuals in Crisis Situation (AICS), and livelihood assistance under the Sustainable Livelihood Program (SLP), to some 205 qualified beneficiaries at the EBJ Gymnasium, Binirayan San Jose de Buenavista, Antique.

Meanwhile, on April 30, the DSWD FO VI, headed by Director Ma. Evelyn Macapobre, distributed AICS assistance worth P2,000 each to 111 beneficiaries in Laganes, Iloilo.

Likewise, on May 1, DSWD Secretary Rolando Joselito D. Bautista joined the provision of assistance to 90 beneficiaries in Bago City, Negros Occidental.

The Department will continue to facilitate the provision of social protection assistance to support the convergence initiatives of the national government across the country. ###
