In an effort to further improve the delivery of social protection packages to its beneficiaries, the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) has launched the Agency Operations Center (AOC) in Field Office 3 to unify data gathering procedures and harmonize monitoring of its programs and services in the region.

The AOC serves as the Department’s command facility which houses the monitoring and coordination of unified data management, faster generation of updated data sets, and improvement of monitoring and evaluation systems for its social welfare and development programs and services.

The establishment of an AOC in all DSWD Field Offices was a clear directive of Social Welfare and Development Secretary Rolando Joselito D. Bautista in pursuit of the Department’s thrusts towards digitization and transition to an online system, to include digital payouts, in its service delivery.

“Let’s persistently explore the digitalization of our systems as we enhance our mechanisms in consideration of the new normal. It is crucial that we institutionalize innovative means to help our service delivery,” the Secretary said during the 71st DSWD Anniversary celebration in Central Luzon.

Through the establishment of the AOC in Field Office III, DSWD expects to streamline the process and management of its data and information with an enhanced and developed web-based information systems paving the way for program implementers to have an improved basis for planning, monitoring, and evaluation. ###
