Officials of the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) visited Turkey from September 18 to 22 to benchmark the country’s existing digital information and management system for social protection implementation.

Led by Undersecretary for Policy and Plans Group Adonis Sulit, the DSWD delegation was composed of Assistant Secretary and chief information officer (CIO) Julius Gorospe; Asst. Secretary for National Household Targeting System for Poverty Reduction (NHTS-PR) Marites Maristela; Policy Development and Planning Bureau Director Rhodora Alday; and Information and Communication Technology Management Service (ICTMS) Director Christian Joseph Regunay.

The benchmarking mission was aimed at gaining insights from the successful integration of various social registries into Turkey’s Integrated Social Assistance Service Information System (ISAIS) managed by the Ministry of Family and Social Services.
