As part of its 72nd anniversary celebration, the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) partnered with various national government agencies for the One-Stop-Shop Serbilis On-the-Go! activity on January 23-27, 2023 at the DSWD Central Office.

The activity aims to provide a venue for DSWD Central Office personnel, their relatives, and institutional service contractors to conveniently access other government frontline services within the doorstep of the Department.

During the opening of the activity, the DSWD invited the Commission on Elections (COMELEC), led by Chair George Erwin Garcia, to showcase their Register Anywhere Project (RAP). The RAP is an ongoing voter registration project of the COMELEC allowing for the reactivation of voter’s records, transfer of voter’s information, and enrolment for first time voters.

In his message, DSWD Officer-in-Charge (OIC) Eduardo M. Punay explained the importance of partnering with the COMELEC for the RAP, saying, “The DSWD supports the COMELEC in its endeavor to make voter registration easy and accessible to the Filipino people. Hence, a satellite registration site in the DSWD Central Office was established today to provide a venue for the registration of DSWD employees and their relatives for the upcoming Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan elections.”

OIC Punay also expressed the DSWD’s support to the COMELEC’s endeavors, “Rest assured that the DSWD will support COMELEC’s initiatives on voter’s education and voter’s registration to inform more Filipinos about their right to vote and participate in our electoral process.”
