The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) thanked the Cebu Pacific Airlines for its assistance in transporting family food packs (FFPs) to Puerto PrincesaCity, Palawan on January 22, 23 and 29, 2023.

A total of 2,600 FFPs amounting to over Php1.4 million wereairlifted for free via nine air shipments of Cebu Pacific for distribution to families affected by two low pressure areas (LPAs) in the said province. The cost of airlift is Php1.2 million.

Meanwhile, as of February 8, the DSWD already provided assistance worth Php86,192,282.99 to localities affected by the effects of the LPA, Northeast Monsoon, and shear line.

The Department also continues its production and repacking operations in various disaster response hubs and warehouses around the country to ensure that sufficient relief aid will be prepositioned and augmented to localities before and during calamities and disasters.
