Lolos, lolas of GRACES hold storytelling, playtime sessions for DSWD’s project ‘Apo Ko’

Elderly residents of the Golden Reception and Action Center for the Elderly and other Special Cases (GRACES) hold storytelling and playtime sessions with children enrolled in child development centers on Thursday (April 3) at the Department of Social Welfare and Development’s (DSWD) Reception and Study Center for Children (RSCC) in Quezon City.

The activity is part of the third session of the agency’s intergenerational project, “Apo Ko: Kwento ni Lolo’t Lola, Gabay ng Kabataan.” The project is designed to create a supportive and dynamic community where the wisdom of the elderly is shared with the younger generation, fostering mutual understanding, empathy, and cooperation.

Present to oversee the session were DSWD Field Office (FO) National Capital Region Assistant Regional Director for Administration Benchie Gonzales, Social Technology Bureau (STB) Officer-in-Charge Division Chief Jason Oabel, and RSCC Center Head Liezavel Gonzales. (AKDL)
